I have an ISA account (£) trading American shares(stocks). I trade frequently so I don't pay commission. But every time I sell I get charged from $0.01 to $0.06 per share. It seems to be linked to the value of the trade... more in value more the charges i.e. £2000 trade cost me $0.06 and £600 cost $0.01 per share or is it based on how long I had the stock.
Please can someone explain how it works and what are the thresholds
Thanks...views are also welcome
PS There is a significant difference from the P/L stated in your account before the shares have been sold to the monies received.
Surely if they want to show clarity they should include the expected costs of selling..... that would solving these feelings of being ripped off
