  1. https://www.newsweek.com/patients-waiting-life-saving-organ-transplant-denied-treatment-unless-vaccinated-1656413 Stop the world, I wanna get off!
  2. True. But that raises another subject about choice.
  3. Not getting involved in this spat but personally I think the vaccine was /is pushed through faster than any other vaccine I can find and I do not feel comfortable about that. Anyway, regards a vaccine "protecting that person from a disease". Isn't factually true. The Rabies vaccine is one example where it's very unlikely to save you from the virus on it's on its own merit.
  4. "Italian protests today." LOL. That's funny. 2020 Florida Trump rally. Nope. 2018 Zurich festival. Yep. https://www.google.com/maps/search/zurich/@47.3664469,8.541915,297m/data=!3m1!1e3
  5. ‘Doomsday’ Covid variant detected in South Africa even worse than Delta strain https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/doomsday-covid-variant-detected-in-south-africa-even-worse-than-delta-strain/news-story/cd272bb749122954f3e58322be40be53 That's it. Back into lock downs everybody! 🤪
  6. @JakubIG Fantastic. Didn't even know AU got one. Makes life easier. 😃
  7. Here's a catchy tune to have in your head while you 'just buy the fekking dip'. Push it!
  8. Don't take this as gospel but I think SMSF's are the same as SIPP's. Which they no longer do. I think doing it through Commsec, ANZ or Nabtrade would be far easier.
  9. Did this thread do a covid? Mutate. Should I panic? Is it becoming more deadly (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander translation 😆😂). Threat of lockdown? No Wuflu's anymore?
  10. The whole thing is making people think stupid too. I read this on a forum today - "Those vaccinated passenger do not want unvaccinated passenger to travel with them thats for sure." 🙄
  11. "sure". Absolutely not! The word 'Maybe' gives it away. Perhaps I should of added a question mark. Maybe not a regulatory ban but IG blanket? Same screen here. So, are you 'sure' you can still trade crypto on Ig in Australia? That was 5 minutes 30 seconds of my life I will never get back.
  12. Thinking about buying some BRK.A? 😜
  13. WHO (pun intended) remembers the panic of 2009 swine flu pandemic! Oooops! https://www.bmj.com/content/340/bmj.c2947.full
  14. Why mandatory vaccination should not happen. We have been here before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_swine_flu_outbreak https://www.discovermagazine.com/health/the-public-health-legacy-of-the-1976-swine-flu-outbreak "The American public can be notably skeptical of forceful government enterprises in public health, whether involving vaccine advocacy or limitations on the size of soft drinks sold in fast food chains or even information campaigns against emerging outbreaks. The events of 1976 “triggered an enduring public backlash against flu vaccination, embarrassed the federal government and cost the director of the U.S. Center for Disease Control his job.” It may have even compromised Gerald Ford’s presidential re-election as well as the government’s response to a new sexually transmitted virus that emerged only a few years later in the early ‘80s, killing young gay men and intravenous drug users. What happened in 1976 is a cautionary public health tale, the story of a vaccination quagmire that still resonates in the public psyche and in our discussions about vaccines today. Of the 45 million people vaccinated against the 1976 swine flu, four hundred and fifty people developed the rare syndrome Guillain-Barré." Has this been forgotten. One person died from swine flu in 1976 and is now considered a mild virus. Remember the panic in 2009. https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevensalzberg/2013/03/02/has-the-swine-flu-disappeared/?sh=e57416fe204c I first wrote about this soon after the outbreak began, and we now know that hundreds of millions of people were infected, somewhere in the range 11% to 21% of the population. That's an awful lot of sick people. However, H1N1 turned out to be a very mild flu: many people experienced little more than a few days of sniffles, much like a common cold. This surprising mildness of swine flu led to great confusion. Conspiracy theorists claimed that the threat had been overblown, hyped by vaccine manufacturers and their government co-conspirators. A wacky German lawmaker, Wolfgang Wodarg, even claimed that the swine flu vaccine caused cancer, a claim that was picked up and amplified by famed internet snake oil salesman, Joseph Mercola.
  15. It may be worth a read but if you look at bed availability, using data supplied by the NHS themselves, the argument has no standing. And IIRC the total number of beds available this year is less than previous years. I choose to believe published NHS data over an unproven tweet. With respect.
  16. So, without sounding argumentative, we now have to social distance our 'inconvenient truths'?
  17. As I suspected. You're only telling half the story. It appears there is also a reduced number of total beds available in 2020 compared to 2019. So not only are there more empty beds, there is less beds to start off with. WTF? https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/bed-availability-and-occupancy/bed-data-overnight/
