RICo posted a question in IG Trading Support - Dealing Questions

Hi I have placed an order on Novavax prior to market open @4690, the market later opened @5450 and the system opened the trade at that level. Am i wrong in thinking this shouldn't have happened? Market opened too far out from my set order and yet system opened my trade at market price not respecting my order? Am i wrong in thinking this isn't right? To me it should have waited for market to drop to then open my order or not? Thanks
