Seriously thinking of withdrawing as much of my funds as i can now

The problem is you can’t even withdraw funds.

im so desperate that I tried to withdraw funds to hopefully trigger a margin call. Can’t even do that

    Hey,

I've been able to login and all systems are operational from: https://status.ig.com/

Let me know if it's still the case.

    All the best

  3. Thanks Casey, my issue is not with missing a trade it was failure and/inability to execute a close order. Which then toasted me. I understand certain issue can happen, especially during high vol and slippage can happen, but not being to able to close an order when you chose to pretty much makes it impossible to trade.

Have you asked them to credit you ?  Ive had such issues in the past and got a refund

Do you have anyway to contact them, it’s clear the loss of service was solely me or related to my devices. So I am wondering do they willing accept accountability when the fault lies with them??

Unfortunately I've been with IG for 2 years now and lost a relatively small amount of money because of Platform Issues that have always been unresolved.  It's part of the package it seems.  It's simply a very poor retail experience.

Are you saying nit2wynit that IG take no accountability for execution issues?

  6. As anyone from IG alive,

slipage is one thing having to hold the bag for 15 point swings because the platform goes down is unacceptable, if you platform can’t process the orders suspend at least suspend instruments  This is crazy

Hi, if you intend to hold the position open for more than a week or two then the most cost affective means is by using the Forwards (Futures) chart (see dropdown arrow next to asset name top left corner.

On a Forwards contract there are no overnight interest fees so you only pay the spread (a bit higher than the DFB spread) which is repaid every rollover (normally 3 months).

Thank you so much, re the spread, do you mean the size of spread is re-adjusted every three 3 months?

  8. Hello,

I have opened a position in a stock in my spread bet account as I couldn’t in my share account as apparently the position had to be leveraged. So far I have not seen any fees accrued even though the position is nearly a month old, when I hold positions in indices for example I get fees but haven’t seen any for this position. Before I add to it can you let me know what if any fees I am likely to incur.

    thanks

Hello Is anyone familiar with this issue where the dealer wont execute.

Thankfully its only costing me paper money as I was trading some new instruments for the first time. Otherwise I would have lost profit and lost way beyond my stop on another?

Some input from IG on this would be helpful as a  result of this I am now thousands negative in my paper trade. Very reluctant to use my live platform until I get an explanation.

The error I received was "Order Processor Cant Execute due to High Demand"
