I am really struggling to get my head around how you calculate margin requirements for your spread betting accounts. The example shown on the website is a bit confusing and lacks the finer detail as to how this would be applied to other currency pairs. For example my spread betting account currency is in GBP. I recently opened a short trade on AUDUSD opening at 0.64183 / £0.30p per pip movement. Please could you provide detail as to how the margin is calculated for the above?
