Scaling into a position

Greeting's IG people
Lovely platform, great interface and incredibly easy to use. I do however have one question. While it seems possible to reduce one's size during a trade it does not seem possible to increase one's size during an open trade and therefore scale into a position. I have placed trades with both spread betting and CFD, and neither platform seems to offer this function. Is there something I'm missing here?
Would greatly appreciate any advice or insight
