Hello Recently started live trading with IG and had an issue with closing out a trade on the Dax yesterday at 08.01. The Index dropped rapidly in my favour and I tried to close it out a number of times at a profit. Unfortunately, an error message in red came up saying we can't process this at the moment, or words to that effect, and to contact IG. The Dax then turned and I got stopped out at a loss. I contacted IG to find out what happened. I spoke to a very polite lady who asked if i had taken a screen shot, which I hadn't. Anyway, she would look in to it and get back to me via email , which she did. However, when she got back to me she said they couldn'tsee any attempt by me to close out the trade and the loss was due to slippage . I am trading from an old laptop using WiFi and am not a professional trader, so has anyone got any advice how to avoid this issue in the future. Do I need better equipment ? or is this an ongoing issue with the IG platform
