  1. You can eventually become numb to emotions. I think you will perform best when you treat your account like a hybrid, not quite a demo account, but not quite your "rent money".
  2. Some good points there, but to be honest, you could go the other way and become too cautious. I find that I do best when I have a little bit of apathy toward losing a few thousand pounds.
  3. I never look at sentiment. What does it matter what everyone else thinks?
  4. Is there not a more reliable way to get this data than from Yahoo ?
  5. I also use the classic platform. To be honest, I'm more leaning toward writing my own platform from scratch, based on the API, rather than relying on web-based javascript and Flash rendering.
  6. Hi. 1. I trade mostly indices, options, and binaries. I've been doing it for 4 years, and I'm doing it more or less full time now. 2. I'm primarily a technical trader, although I may look at relevant news events.. 3. I didn't even know there was a community. Just got an email about it, thought I'd check it out.
  7. Would it not be more effective to look at FTSE in the last 20 years and see how much money you would have made/lost from your Santa trade? I once won a "stock investing" competition by simply buying all of the one-letter American Stock. A, B, C, etc.
