[FX Spreads - Sunday Open]

I primarily trade an FX strategy that focuses on the open on a Sunday night. Most exchanges have pretty wide spreads from 9:00pm until just after 11:00pm which can make entry tricky to time. I have seen CMC Markets noted on these forums before and decided to do a spread comparison between them and IG. See attached for what I have found. 

*The spread does jump around quite a bit during these times so I done my best to record the average.

Is there any set reason why IGs spreads are worse pretty much across the board except for a few exceptions?

With the three criteria for a professional account some of them are slightly vague. Can somebody please clarify the below:

• Has your trading averaged 10 significantly sized leverage transactions per quarter over the last 4 quarters

           What amount is deemed as being significant?

• Do you have a financial instrument portfolio, including cash deposits, exceeding €500,000?

           This one is pretty clear 😂

• Have you worked in the financial sector in a professional position, requiring knowledge of derivatives trading, for at least a year?

           Would trading your own money full time in an IG account for 12 months as your main source of income  count as a professional position?
