I am trying to reduce some of my position in NIO and it says confirmed but nothing is changing!!!! WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is critical and no one can give an answer on online chat. Why is this platform so flakey?!! I can't close, I cant hedge positons, I can't short...WTF

Hi All, I have come from CFD trading on 212. I was always able to hedge my long positions but I find on IG, I cannot hedge anything, as if I cannot sell to hedge. I always see "You cannot sell this market to open". I can sell off some of my position (net off) but I cant do a force open. When it does allow you to, if wants to use more of my margin, on 212, i could open a sell positon, upto the same size as my buy position without changing my margin. Am I missing something here? Thanks

Guys, seriously!! I moved to this platform from 212 as they were cow boys!! BUT now I'm finding IG does not let me close a trade by clicking close, I have to set a limit, which then costs me time and money in order to cash out my position! What the hell is that about?!!

I keep seeing these across the platform and they really screen my charting up. Can this be stopped? This is an example from NIO Inc

Hello, Wondering if this is a system quirk, it lost me some profit. A stock ran high and I wanted to close my position, I tried to close all, but this didn't work. I tried to close individually and received the message you see in the screenshot. So I set a limit and they closed just fine! WTF Any ideas, this could be a costly delay/issue!

Hi All, I recently left Trading 212 due to them changing margin requirements as well as many other issues. Anyway, I am practising on a LIVE account and I am trading NIO with CFD's. I just tried to close a position while in profit but I got the following message "This market may not be sold to open". It just would not let me close, phone or computer. However, I set a LIMIT and once it hit, it closed!! Why did this happen?? Thanks
