When you place a non-market order such as a stop or a limit I can see the transaction charge, usually around £10. If the order doesn't fill or I want to cancel it for any reason I presume you don't pay this charge, ie- you only pay if the order executes. Am I right in thinking this? I'd hate to go making orders and cancelling if I was being charged each time.
