As I was holding AMC stocks, I was issued same number of APE stocks in my IG.com account. When the stocks were added to my account, they were initially added with $0.0 price. Does anyone know what is the cost basis of the APE stock and does it affect my cost basis on AMC stock ? If I sell my APE or AMC shares I need to know How do I calculate my capital gains and losses. Since I am not clear on the Cost basis.

Hi, I had purchased CFD;s on 28th Jan when IG was still allowing trading CFDs for AMC. Today when the shares prices crashed, I was not willing to let go of my CFDs and i tried lowering the STOP price, but IG did not allow me to change the STOP price quoting that "they are not accepting CFDs for this share". Now i understand your right to change the option for new deals but I had an existing deal. Due to not being able to change the STOP I lost my CFDs deal and LOST money. Note that I have sufficient money in my account to cover any lower STOP values.
