I realise this thread is a year old, but just to add: I have price alerts set up on all my holdings to flag up any changes of 5% or more either way. As a retail investor who can't watch the markets as often as I would like it's really useful, when it works. This morning I got two, both telling me that two of my holdings had just grown over 100% on the day. They hadn't, and it's also a Saturday morning...
