Borrowing to buy shares on IG

Does IG offer the ability to borrow against an IG shares portfolio to buy more share on the platform?

Just to clarify, are you asking about collateral services? Please note that we do not offer collateral services on smart portfolio accounts. This service is for professional clients when they are trading on leveraged accounts (spread bets and CFDs).

No I simply mean a borrowing facility, a loan, secured against my shares portfolio on IG

That’s a pity.  It would be a good facility to offer like Lombard Loans and far less risky than margin trading.
