Being new to trading. If buying shares with companies that give dividends, do I get the dividends paid into my account as cash or as shares please.

I am new to stocks and shares and have been buying and selling in my share dealing account.

 

I am not sure how the tax works but have been told that I should trade through an ISA as this will not be taxed.
