in IG Trading Support - Dealing Questions

Hello all,
I am very curious as to why placing a stop order to buy which is above my stop loss (in the case of a short) requires margin. There should be a functionality for this which identifies that there will be freed margin from the previous order that was exited at a loss and then go long.
There is no reason to have so much of you margin locked up just to have reversal orders sitting around. I am using ProRealTime, not sure if this makes much difference or any.
Please let me know if there is a workaround for this, as right now I simply have so much capital sitting around for the way I trade.
