Confusion over selling US shares and apparently making a loss?

User500

Question

Hi..

I've just sold US shares for $285 USD, which I purchased at $251 USD.

I thought I would be making a small profit...however when I check my history it seems I've lost money?? The shares were then converted back into AUD...

When first purchased the 'value' column states "-A$426.20"

Now the selling transaction 'value' column states -A$419.16 ?

I know there is a commission fee but I'm confused as I thought I would still make some amount of profit, can someone please explain this?
