CFD brokerage and fees

hi eveyone, new bloke here trading Australian shares with leverage CFD account. i am having trouble trying to understand the brokerage cost for my CFD account. with shares its easy as the ticket will show to cost of brokerage but with the CFD it does not but only when i go through a statement i cant help but think im being overcharged. what is the formula to calculate the brokerage or other fees per transaction? and does it cost more to go long or go short? thanks for your help!

I don't trade on these, but in theory you can check other brokers and see how much they charge for the same trades.

I did that for my trades, and concluded my previous broker offered much worse prices and a lot less market liquidity, plus possibly a lot of taxation.
