Question
James19806
Looking for a way to use IG that suits my trading. I mainly momentum trade and scalp at NYSE open and mainly low cap volatile bio tech stocks but others too. The issue is that non of these stocks are available for borrowing so that rules out cfd and spread bet. I have tried to use the share dealing account for this but the large spread and lack of a take profit and stop loss feature makes this impossible. Looking at using dma with the l2 dealer platform to solve this as it has take profit and stop loss, no idea what the spreads are like though as i haven't got market access on there yet. Any other solutions people may use? How does everyone else find IG for day trading volatile securities? It seems hardly an stocks have borrowing available anyway which renders the platform useless which is a shame as its very nice to use, why there is no 1:1 leverage option i don't know, seems they are missing out on a lot of commission really.
