Buying US Shares - deposit fund in US$

I'm looking to buy 100 CCL shares. Should I deposit from my credit card in US$ or Aus$?

IG charges 0.7% currency conversion, no conversion fee from my credit card.

Amazing that *no one* knows the answer to this.

Thank you for your post! Just wanted to clarify that it's completely up to you whether you deposit with your USD or AUD credit card. However, please keep in mind that for relevant transactions, we'll convert currencies at the time of execution based on the best available bid/offer exchange rates, plus a spread of just 0.7%. 

Also, please note that your share trading account can hold multiple currencies. So if you'll mostly be trading in USD, you can deposit just USD without conversion. Just change your currency conversion settings to 'manual' and the USD you deposit will stay in USD, allowing you to make USD trades without conversion. Let us know if you have any other questions!
