New account Taking Way more than expected time, Still waiting from more than a week.

I have applied for a new account with IG, and my application shows a 'Pending' status on my IG account. I have called at least 5-6 times to IG customer support and every time I was told we were doing a Background check. Even though I haven't uploaded any address proof or so. I asked the customer agent if any document was pending from my side. But again, the same answer that my background check is pending. I am using 4-5 accounts with other brokers for shares, Fx, and crypto. But never took that long to open an account with other brokers. Is that background that you guys are saying takes that long?
