"Cancelled" Dividend

On 3/1/24 I was credited with a £162 divi from PBR (US ADR, XD 28/4/23).. Some days later the dividend was reclaimed. Numerous emails and telephone calls ensued as to why this had happened, resulting in an IG claim that "the dividend had been cancelled". No other information had been provided. I pointed out via phone call and email that the same holding in three accounts with AJ Bell had paid the same divi on time and with no subsequent recall.

Q1. Has any other holder of PBR  in an IG shareholding  (or other) account suffered the same confiscation?

Q2 Apart from writing to the financial column of the Daily Mail, what recourse do I have? I asked for a response to my email three days ago with asked for either an acceptable explanation for the cancellation, or the name and email of the CEO so I could make a formal complaint. No reply has as yet been received.
