With the new tax year approaching, I need to work out the capital gains/loss for each group of shares sold that make up a single order. However there doesn't seem to be this information anywhere on the statement and IG helpdesk don't appear to understand what I was asking.
Specifically for a group of shares with a single company, the acquisition price will vary depending on when they were bought or given by my employers and I have this information but the sale via IG doesn't show the breakdown of which group was sold to make up the full execution order. This makes it impossible to calculate the capital gains required for tax.
How do other people do this?
