Buying commodities

Is there a way to invest in a particular commodity, say gold, silver, etc?

yeah, on the left-hand side of the IG trade screen, you will see a list of areas to trade in, starting with Indices. The fourth area down is Commodities. Click on that and you will get a decent list of commodities you can trade in. The sixth area down are ETFs. Click on that and you will find a huge list of various types of ETFs that you can trade in. Included in this list are numerous commodity ETFs. You can see the ETF titles showing you the make-up of each ETF. You can choose whatever ETF that you wish to trade .
