Buying long term shares on behalf of Minor

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I would like to buy shares in an LIC for my child. The goal is 15-20yr investment and I want to know if I purchase shares through IG as normal or is there an alternative way to do this on their behalf?

If anyone has thoughts or links to clear articles that'd be awesome.

Cheers, Mike

LIC have been a notoriously inefficient way to buy basket of stock .

The ETF phenomenon has exploded in the last 10 years because they are more efficient and cheaper and the buy, sell spread is narrower and more accurately replicate the type of investment you want to make

Just a thought
