Trying to understand why I am being charge Long Interest at random times in my account?
I can find nowhere in my transaction reports what the interest is being charged against and at what time of day or night.
There is a time stamp on the interest charges that is possibly at the point where my account is debited. There is nothing that shows which trade it was charged against.
I understand that interest will be charged at the end of a trading period should I hold the trade throughout that period. But because it doesn't show theactual trade and of course I can look at the individual trade histories but they do not show the times I opened and closed the trades
Ie there is no justification from IG why I am being charged the interest.
I just have to take their word for it that the interest on my account is justified with out any proof.
Would love some help sorting this out so I can possibly close the trades before the interest period kicks in.
For reference I trade the Nikkei,DAX and FTSE indicies
TIA

I have limit orders set up to take the reverse position on an open trade if my stop is hit on that trade
The reverse order is set at the same/very near level as the stop order.
Yet when that level is reached both positions are being closed
1. Why?
2. How do I prevent this from happening?
I have set the "Force position" button to on which I assumed may overcome this problem. But it doesn't
Thank you

Haven't used MT4 for about two years. previously I was trading a few of the indicies live through the MT4 platform.
I just opened a new demo account to get my eye back in before going live again.
I opened two seperate demo accounts and the only symbols available to be are Forex and a few metals
When I open the symbols tab to add more symbols the indicies are not there. They are not even greyed out.
so there is nothing to addAny ideas?
Email support Non existant

Is it just me or do others find the complete lack of supports response, is one of the biggest
downsides to dealing with Brokers such as IG. ??
This is not exclusive to IG but they are at the top of my list.
I emailed new accounts 4 business days ago with a follow up question, and have still not had a response.
This is not the first time by any stretch of the imagination (as even I am prepared to give the benefit
of doubt, especially around this time of year) If it was a one off, I wouldn't be writing this.
What is really annoying is that I don't even l know if anyone has read my email enquirie/s
No acknowledgement, no notification that it's been received and someone will respond. Nothing!
How long do I need to wait? Even if I received a canned email response saying we will respond
24/48/72 hours or whatever. I would not have to continually check my emails for a response
and left wondering when I might get an answer. Why should I as a paying customer have to spend my
time chasing support?
Why the F as a client/customer, (ie: someone that is earning the broker business money) have to put up
with a complete lack of service.
Don't get me started on "Chat" support. If it's anything more than a basic question they have no idea
and unfortunately many support have english as a second language and have little understanding
of the nuances of the language, leading to further frustration, having to go over the same question
and try and convey in a different way so hopefully my support person can understand.
Please note the above rant is not exclusive to IG, but they are guilty of 99% of what I have experienced
