I am currently using the Demo to test a few strategies, where I place orders overnight to execute the next day. However, I am confused by one aspect. If I place an order at a price and then the next day the market opens at a position which is more beneficial to me, my order executes at the my order price, not the market opening price. For example, yesterday evening (24th April '24) I placed an order to sell Antofagasta at 2171.50. The market opened the next day (25th April) at 2264.00, which is a better position, but the trade executed at 2171.50. Is that what should happen, or is that a glitch with the Demo version? Thanks!
