Thanks @CharlotteIG that's really helpful. I've funded the account and that seems to have worked. Just one minor question, on the dashboard it shows a helpful bar with my 19/20 allowance but nothing for the 20/21 allowance. I've tried to upload a photo but looks to be failing.

New tax year began today as I understood. I have a stocks and shares ISA for 19/20 with IG but can't seem to open a new one for 20/21... am I missing something here?
