Configuration for Multi Currency

I trade mostly on UK and US markets - I am in UK.
My base currency is GBP and I wish to use multi-currency on the platform GBP and USD
I have changed the Currency Conversion option to Manual, but when I did a test transfer in to the account of USD, the account did not display two fund pools, only the GBP and it looks like it did a automatic currency transfer. The transfer history shows USD did arrive at the platform.
How do I get the platform to display and manage the two currencies? Objective US trades draw from USD pool and other trades from base currency (GBP) pool
I can't see instructions on the site and chat has not helped
