  1. After using V12 for the first time today, I noticed straight away bringing up charts in noticably slower. For 1000 units ,V11 was almost instantaneous, you only briefly saw the blue loading line, now its appear for a couple of seconds . Im using the same setttings as it retained tham all for me. Surely an upgraded version should not be slower?

    Hi @fxlapt,

There is no setting to switch that feature on or off so based on the results from your test it seems as though your saved workspaces are faulty/corrupt. There is a chance that the workspaces could be fixed but if they didn't take very long to create I would suggest just recreating them from the default workspace.

If your workspaces did take a long time to create then we can ask ProRealTime to try and fix them but that may take some time. If you would like to try this option then please send a new report from Prorealtime but mention that the feature in question works on the default workspace and then list the names of the faulty saved workspaces you use so we can ask ProRealtime to go through the logs to see if they can fix them.

On your previous report  ProRealTime couldn't find a solution because they could not recreate the issue,  that is because the issue does not exist on a standard ProRealTime workspace but is instead linked to faults on your saved workspaces.

    All the best!

As my wokspaces did take a long ttime to create, I lodged a help request through the PRT interface. As usual, I recieved an email from  chartsupport@marketdatasystems.com with a reference number.  As usual, you dont ever hear anything again, so I chased this up a couple of times, and this was the repsonse I got from  Adam @ IG.

I have looked further into this for you and consulted with our IT specialists team. They have confirmed that we have now received a response from
Pro Real Time in relation to the issue and have confirmed that this is expected behavior from the system.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This shows what a complete farce the whole PRT/IG help system is.  You lodge a fault report, it gets ignored, and if you chase it up, you just get fobbed off with gibberish. Really the worst customer service I have ever seen.

  3. Yes, this afternoon, adter ASX close, the screeners are all working correctly again for the first time since Dec 23rd.

Its also quite interesting that when you submit a ticket thru PRT, depsite advice to the contrary you never get any follow up to your bug reports. I must have submitted 20 - 30 in my time by now....and you never hear anyhting, so you dont even know wehther they have been looked at. A Very poor system imo.

  4. I have many PRT Proscreen scans that have run successfully for a long time, but many have been returning false resuls since 28th December 2022.

If you run them after the ASX's close, the data is wrong, or you might get no results, or it will tell you at the bottom of the Proscreener window there are X results returned, but none are displayed. Then when you run them again 12 hours later the next morning, they run correctly. It is as if the servers reset overnight. Then the corruption happens again the next day some time.

For example yesterday on 29 Dec, my yearly lows scans returned 499 results which is an absurd amount, and a check confirmed the results were not correct.  Next  morning on 30 Dec, the scan returned 34 results (correct)

Whys is this data corruption occurring, in the Default Workspace , and my other workspaces? I cannot trust PRT at the moment.

  5. Either on a list, or a Proscreener results list, you should get a chart displayed automaticaly when you select an quity. It used to do this up until one month ago ago.  Ive checked on the PRT website itself, the platform off that site functions  properly, so this is an IG issue.

I have lodged a request by email to the helpdesk and there has been no change.

Surely Im not the only one to notice this?

  6. Yeah the funny thing is that it happened in Ff V101 which has been fine so far. Then I put the motherboard into an unusable state deliberately shorting the CMOS jumper, couldnt get it to boot at all, until I reseated the RAM, then when I came back online this happened. Could just be a massive co incidence, but Im thinking something changed from that episode.

Yeah, Chrome, Brave all work ok, but consume too much memory to be running a 2nd browser. Running Java with PRT maxes out 16Gb of memory! I'll try Chromium portable if it has a low memory footprint.

  7. Been with IG a few years and was always able to log in to MYIG with  Firefox V88, V90, V101,  but since yesterday I havent been able to  because the login prompt produces a green "Go To PLatform" button,a nd when I press it, i get thrown back ot the login prompt.

Its a carbon copy of this  problem mentioned in this thread a few years ago. Just wondering if anybody had a fix, because I know IG wont....  lol   Im on Firefox V101. I tried V102, or V104.0.8b wont fix it either.

    Hi @NGW,

As mentioned above the commission is applied per trade. A partial fill is still considered a trade. You might wand to change the expiry in this case.

    All the best - Arvin

Your advice is in correct. If your order expiry is "good till cancelled", and you execute a partial sale at the end of a trading day, you will still be charged full commission, and again every time you have a partial fill on the same order. IG is the only broker Ive encountered that does this.
