Does IG not take UK stamp duty exemption of £1k into consideration?

Pinkie

Question

Hi!

209 UK shares bought at £47.4715

Consideration in total was £9,922.23

Dealing commission £3.00

Charge £1.00.

UK Stamp duty £49.61 (?)

How is this calculated? The first £1,000.00 are Stamp Duty exempt in the UK.

So if I calculate £9922.23 - £1000 exempt = 8922.23 *0.5% = £44.61.

But if I calculate £9922.23 *0.5% and do not apply the exemption then I get £49.61.

Does this mean that IG does not take into consideration the UK stamp duty consideration of £1,000?

Thanks for the advice!!

As far as I am aware, the £1000 exemption only applies to buying shares via a stock transfer form. There is no consideration when buying electronically.
