daily chart candles

hi all, i'm having an issue with my daily chart candles for a numver of stocks, apple, tesla microsoft etc, the daily chart candle shows a huge price range say for example between $120-$150, then when i drill down to say the 5 min chart the daily range is correct, say between $131-$139. the next day then the candle shows the previous days true range, but again has a new wide range bar. has anybody had similar experiences? whats the fix? thanks in advance
