Market not available online

murdz

Question

I've searched this forum and seen a few people experience this error, sometimes resolved by changing the order type, sometimes not resolved

For several hours after the US Market normal trading hours have closed, I've been trying to submit an order for execution when they open again.

Limit order (only option) and Expiry Day (only option)

Every time (for the last 6 hours) it's been saying "Market not available online" - why can't it just accept the order and execute it when the market is open?

Staff? Any update on this?

It's not listed anywhere what the trading hours are. I still receive this problem. It's 1:30am currently for the NYSE... why can't it just accept the order an execute it later!?!?!?!

Hi @murdz

Thanks for reaching out. Are you trading a normal US stock and an All Sessions US stock?

You can always call in to ask for a dealer to place an order during pre-session. However you would still be charged phone dealing commission of 2 cents per share, minimum of US$50 applies.

All the best,
