Trading US Stocks within an ISA

Guest kpnuts

Question

Hi,

I'm currently in the process of moving my ISA to IG and was wondering if it's possible to trade any US stocks or are there restrictions?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Trendfollower,

Thanks for the response.  I've just filled out a W8-BEN form online so hopefully I'll have access to most US shares once my ISA has been transferred.

@TrendFollower

I just tried to order 7 US shares using my current brokers website, and out of the 7 I could only order 1.  Not sure whether the 6 I couldn't buy were small / mid caps and the 1 I could buy was a large cap.  They were :- STNE (this I could have bought), BZUN, HUYA,WB,NIO,IQ & TME (these I couldn't buy).  I'll see if , once my ISA has been transferred, whether or not I can buy these 6 or not.  Will let you know.
