[Configuration for Multi Currency]

Following this as the topic is still very relevant.  I can see that ii and IBKR have either currency accounts or equivalent currency wallets which reduce the cost of back & forth.

I believe the answer relates to "currency transfer" and "automatic currency conversion", although most posts about this subject are a bit old and the settings don't reflect that (e.g. you could have manual currency conversion for a SIPP despite said otherwise elsewhere on the forum)

[Can I use IG API to trade stocks / shares and ETF? (i.e. not CFD or Spreadbetting)]

Looking at IG Labs and other pages, it is unclear if the (REST) APIs can be used to trade stocks / shares and ETF?

Thank you for this but I am also looking for the actual rate used, not the rules that apply to it.  It would be great if someone could help find this.
