CFD on a company in liquidation

billedwardstrader

Question

What happens to my returns if a have a CFD on a company that goes into liquidation? For example, if I have bought Company A at a 20% discount to (what I believe is) its realisible value upon liquidation and then that company goes into liquidation and returns net asset value - are my returns from the CFD a leveraged reflection of the returns I would receive if I were to own the shares or does the CFD become void at the point of liquidation, for example?

    • This is a great answer... Oddly, this is the process i went through and "Trailing" wasn't an option. After looking again, it is now there and working. Thank you.
