Eurozone inflation at its highest since the common block was created

Recommended Posts

As inflation continues to soar worldwide, the Eurozone faces the added struggle of managing different rates of inflation within its member states.

IGTV’s Daniela Sabin Hathorn is joined by Simon French from Panmure Gordon to look at how consumers are being affected by these rising costs.

Simon talks about the expectations of monetary policy from the ECB and the fact that the divergence in this policy with other central banks is likely to weaken the euro further.

This morning has seen a resumption of the downward trend as the dollar is bid once more, making yesterday’s move largely attributed to oversold levels as well as quarter-end rebalancing.
