Any update on IG integration with TradingView?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Its been mentioned a few times by IG over the months that there is something being worked on in the pipeline for integrations with the TradingView platform

It would be a huge benefit to simply link IG account and place order on the TV charts

Has there been any progress, or any ETA of when this functionality may be available?

Hi Admin,

Will I need to have a paid account with Tradingview to have all the features or will this be included in the integration?

Regards

Hi @ad1980

We will check with the relevant department. Unfortunately we do not have that information at the moment. IG granted free access to TradingView PRO+ to all our new clients until it was discontinued. We will send more updates once we receive confirmation. All the best, OfentseIG

Hi @KRAKEN

Thanks for reaching out. TradingView will be available Q1 2023. We are unable to confirm the exact ETA. All the best, OfentseIG

Also I believe you do need at least the Pro subscription to be able to link to external parties on Trading View

Hi, what does this mean for us when trading? Can we trade straight from the TV platform? Will we have to subscribe to TV pro package or higher?

Thanks

Hi @ad1980

That is correct, you can trade straight from the TV platform. The package offered will be the free one (Basic) but you are more than welcome to upgrade to other options. If you upgrade, the payment needs to be paid directly to Tradingview.

Hi, the basic package has a 15 minute delay.

Prices on tradingview is dependent on source.  Eg, when looking at say EURUSD in TV there are a number of different price providers representing the tradable price on each provider's platform. Once IG integrates with Tradingview, an IG price feed should be available for tradable instruments on which we can trade.

Hi, just to clarify does the TradingView integration date mean that IG will go live by start or end of April?

Hi @MayorofBelsize and All,

After checking with the relevant team, the integration will be finalized to mid year. It will be a staggered launch so not all countries will get access at the same time. We will confirm the details of the integration and the date by email to all our clients. We apologize for the delay and inconvenience.

All the best, OfentseIG

The best customer services keep their clients informed and up to date. Do we have a date, an intended date, or not?

IG, TradingView is the hottest charting platform at the moment and let's be honest, who wants to continue using ProRealtime, MT4/5, or even your own default charting platform?

    • Sorry, I didn't get it... What's Dual investment?
    • The crypto market appears to be showing signs of recovery, with significant improvements in the Sharpe Ratios of Bitcoin, BGB, and Ethereum, according to an article published on Friday.  The Sharpe Ratio, a measure used to understand the return of an investment compared to its risk, has seen a notable increase for both cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin's Sharpe Ratio has risen from -2.4 to 0.68, while Ethereum and BGB have also experienced a similar uptrend. This change signifies higher returns at lower risk, which is expected to attract more investors to the crypto market. In addition to the improved Sharpe Ratios, increased network activity and trading volume as shown on CEXs like Bitget, Binance, and a few DEXs are suggesting a healthier market state. The current trading prices of Bitcoin, reflect this overall positive market sentiment. As of Friday, Bitcoin was trading at $27,069.73, BGB at $0.454 and Ethereum at $1,677.89. These developments are significant as they indicate reduced risk in the crypto market. The increase in the Sharpe Ratios for Bitcoin, BGB, and Ethereum suggests that these cryptocurrencies are becoming less risky investments, which could potentially lead to an influx of new investors into the market.  Could this rise in Sharpe Ratios coupled with increased network activity and trading volume point towards a recovering and less risky crypto market?
