Exploring the Future of Data Ownership: Decentralized Networks and Personal Empowerment

Recommended Posts

The emergence of decentralized data networks represents a significant shift in the way personal data is managed and monetized. These networks aim to challenge the traditional centralized models dominated by tech giants, where user data is often exploited for commercial gain without fair compensation or control for the individuals generating the data.

They're  built on blockchain technology, empower users to take ownership of their personal data and decide how it is shared and monetized. One promising project I've been following in space is Masa Finance, a personal data network built on the Avalanche blockchain.

With over 1.4 million wallets contributing 23 million data points, they've raised $5.4m from investors like Anagram and Avalanche. Its MASA token is gaining exposure by debuting on platforms like Binance, Bitget

While the project seems promising with an active user base and notable backers, its long-term viability remains to be seen in this emerging space imo

So I'll like to ask. What's your view on the value proposition of decentralized data networks like Masa Finance? Do you see mass adoption potential as data privacy concerns grow?

    • I have traded £/$ option for a few years but wondered if anyone can tell me why IG option prices fed from UBS Bank have drastically departed from the Black Scholes Pricing model recently, which it used to conform with? Whilst this is an OTC mkt IG have informed me in the past that they "follow" BSM pricing, which they used to do by and large but now:. Example: £/$ Sept 13100's: Call Option mid: 31. Put Option 510. BSM pricing model price on £/$ Sept 13100's:  Call Option 71  Put Option 343. Thanks.
