The Rand weakness over the past two years

The Rand is going weaker and weaker every day when compared to some major currencies, are there any strategies to be used to raise it to life again? President Ramaphosa recently said in a statement that the South African residents need not to panic about the recession.

What are best strategies we can use as South African, perhaps your advice may contribute greatly, the Rand has weakened to its lowest level in less than two years, this decline is persisting and we need to bring our head together to talk solution regarding the matter, it really affects us who import different products, we end up paying more than necessary, this will completely wipe off many South Africans to do international businesses.

Hi Tinyiko, I suspect there is real and increasing international concern that SA is going down the same path taken by Zimbabwe not so long ago and will lead to the same disastrous results. Appeasing the majority by repressing the profitable through land and wealth redistribution is communistic in it's outlook which has historically always failed in the long term. The SA government needs to turn around and encourage not discourage business and investment IMO.
