Dear All, 

I am one of IG's valuable clients that was given 2 choices after Brexit. By March 31st I was to either close my account by myself or transfer my portfolio to another brokerage. If I failed to do either IG would close my account for me.

I changed my brokerage and they initiated the transfer last Feb. Since then their requests have not been answered by IG. Repeated attempts to call IG have not been successful, nor has anyone answered my mails.

Yesterday the deadline passed without any action being taken by IG, and it is now likely that my account will be closed today incurring unacceptable loss to me.

I find this incredibly unprofessional

Can some please advise

    • Why is this stock unavailable to open for non-Pro clients? Surely a fund is less risky than an individual stock.
    • Hi @Kgrp74 Thank you for reaching out.  HMRC rules don't allow you to hold foreign currency in an ISA, but you can still buy international shares. The gains on currency conversions are only seen and credited in the account once you sell the shares if the currency rate is favorable to you. We also have to consider the 0.5% spread added to the exchange rate and commission charges which would normally offset your profits.  Thanks, OfentseIG
