Setting a Daily Loss Limit

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have Googled and searched the forums however unable to find an answer for this.

Am I able to set a Daily Loss Limit for myself? So once the limit is hit, I am blocked from placing any more trades until the following day.

This seems like a basic request that a lot of brokers offer.

thanks

Hi @garethw,

We do not offer the a Daily Loss limit on our accounts. Nevertheless, we do have Margin call policy that is applying on leverage accounts .

Margin call is the term for when the equity on your account – the total capital you have deposited plus or minus any profits or losses – drops below your margin requirement. You can find both figures listed at the top of the IG platform.

You will get notified when your equity drop beneath 99% and 75% of your margin requirements. At 50% we will automatically close your positions.

Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to keep an eye on it, as with high volatility your equity can drop below 50% in a short period of time.

Please find more details about margin call on this link here.

All the best - Arvin

    • Mystiko.Network is a game-changer in the blockchain ecosystem, offering a universal ZK SDK (Zero-Knowledge Proof Software Development Kit) that addresses the critical challenges of scalability, interoperability, and confidentiality. At its core, Mystiko leverages the power of Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs), enabling secure and private transactions while processing an unprecedented number of transactions. This groundbreaking technology paves the way for truly scalable decentralized applications (dApps) and overcomes the limitations of traditional blockchain infrastructures. But Mystiko's impact extends beyond scalability. Its universal ZK SDK also facilitates seamless interoperability between diverse blockchain networks, creating a truly interconnected Web3 ecosystem where assets, smart contracts, and decentralized services can seamlessly interact across multiple blockchains, all while maintaining the highest levels of security and privacy. With its listing on Bitget, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, Mystiko.Network gains exposure to a vast community of crypto enthusiasts, investors, and innovators, amplifying its reach and fostering widespread adoption. As the Web3 revolution continues to evolve, projects like Mystiko.Network are poised to lead the charge, reshaping the digital landscape and unlocking the true potential of decentralized innovation.
    • Intrigued by Mande's "Onchain Credibility Hub"! DESO's user-owned data is another great idea for Web3. HMN's talent marketplace is a strong piece too. Bitget listing is cool, but focus should be on Mande's tech! Synergy possible: Mande verifies skills, HMN finds matching projects
    • Telcoin's definitely shaking things up with affordable mobile transfers! But MOB sounds interesting for secure everyday payments. Abra seems like a one-stop shop for global money stuff. Telcoin being on Bitget is cool, but competition is healthy! Maybe Telcoin can focus on low-cost remittances while MobileCoin tackles daily purchases. Telcoin's not the only player, but they're definitely a piece of the puzzle.
