Search not working in demo, can't make a transaction in demo either

Question

Guest rockclimber

I'm using demo API and search results stopped showing in JSON response. They also don't show in web client

markets: []

After switching to live account it looks like it's working fine.

Back to demo API. I tried using epic code directly to make a transaction but I'm getting this mysterious error:

"errorCode: 'unauthorised access, insufficient view permissions. Epic=SI.D.NGDUS.DAILY.IP exchangeId=EQ_US_AMX viewPermission=OFF'"

Hi

When you open a demo account with IG you would only have datafeeds on shares active for 14 days, once these feeds expire, you would have no access to prices from the exchange and as a result you would be unable to place trades on any shares.

We are unfortunately not able to reset this datafeed so to get prices on shares you would need to use the live account. If you require assistance with API matters then please use the contact us section from this link as this is the designated channel for API queries.

Thanks

Anton
