IG Client Feedback Session - Multi-Factor Authentication

Recommended Posts

Hello Community,

We are currently looking at improvements to our Multi-Factor Authentication process and would love to hear your thoughts on the proposed designs.

The development teams have been working on a new solution for our Multi-Factor Authentication and we are running client feedback sessions to gather your thoughts. If you would like to take part and talk to one of our UX Researchers then you can schedule your time here.

We are looking forward to your feedback.

Have there been any improvements to 2FA security? I would have attended this feedback session if I had seen the above post in time.

IG's log in security really needs to be updated on the apps, website and phone. I have had an IG trading account for a very long time but this 2FA issue is making me consider moving to another spreadbet broker such as OANDA or Pepperstone.

Hi @MongiIG

Is there any update to this?

And can you clarify your statement, when you say "proposed concept will not include our own app and eliminate the issues with autofill", do you mean it will not include an IG app, and the proposed concept WILL eliminate the autofill issues? The way it's written makes it sound like the solution won't eliminate the issues.

Hi @Charlie7

IG has now updated the 2FA solution to use supported by apps like Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator.

    • Despite the complaint on Catizen, I recently saw a tweet where one KOL showed his excitement for the project. He claimed to staked $cati on Bitget Poolx and earn good apr and further encouraged his followers to participate in other campaigns on the exchange for Catizen players. Even when I feel he was just trying to make his followers to be optimistic and stop wasting time complaining. I still feel citizen team were not transparent to their community. While many continue to call the project scam, I choose to defer because the project has a well-defined roadmap and use case for the token. These I feel might have huge impact in the project development and sustainability in this volatile space. We learn daily so this airdrop hunters should take this as a learning stage and further focus on other opportunities abundant in this industry. Many people only farm for airdrop and don’t care to understand the space and see where they can contribute. Web3 is a revolution and is better to join early and create a niche for yourself that just passing through.
    • There was another 30k CATS for the first 200k users that deposit on Bitget.
    • MemeFi sounds like a fun mix of gaming and DeFi, plus the chance to trade MEMEFI early on Bitget a good opportunity
