MT4 Zero balance

Hi, I seem to have installed a MT4 account by adding the MT4 account from the relevant IG page as described below. I received a email with my password. I entered my IG log in details and the new password but my demo balance does not show in the MT4 terminal. I have just tried again and in the login bit it will only accept a number and not my user name. I have not received a login number. Any help would be appreciated.

I have just checked and the account is for the Live account. How do you add the MT4 to my demo account?

This is like pulling teeth....lol.

Thanks for reaching out, 

To add a demo on the MT4 terminal, click file, then open an account, choose IG demo server: demo-mt4.ig.com:443, follow the wizzard and choose betting-gbp under account type for spread betting.
