Price issue?

Guest GBro

In my Workspace, the Spread Betting Positions folder shows the Schlumberger latest price at 7346.  If I open the Schlumberger Ltd dealing page, it shows Sell at 7346 and Buy at 8083, a spread of almost 750pts (c.10% of the mid-price).  This appears unusual and seems very large.  Is there a problem or is this really the spread?

Hi - this is the current quoted price on the All Sessions Schlumberger listing. This is an American equity which is trading in it's 'pre main session' listing, where liquidity is low and therefore spread is high. As we get closer to the main session in America (2.30pm UK time) you should see the spread reduce as liquidity improves. I hope this clarifies things, but if not please have have a look at the following.
