Delayed Alerts

Hi there all,

I may be new to the community though I have been trading with IG for a number of years now. I have recently come across a new problem...

I have a couple of indicator alerts set on 1 minute charts which have worked fine for me for a long while now. I used to get my alerts practically straight away (within 20 secs) though I am finding that recently they are coming 6 minutes after the indicator occurs. Obviously this now means that I miss a number of opportunities which is completely unacceptable.

I have just moved to the new platform 2 days ago and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

For me this is a major issue and although I love the layout and the assimilation with the mobile platform that the new platform has, if this is what is screwing with my indicators then I will have to move back to the old.

Please let me know if anyone else is having similar problems.

Thanks, Dan

Oh yeah, just had another thought. My alerts are delayed across all of my devices which includes my PC, mobile and tablet. The alert is, as always, synchronised across al of them, just now they are very late. Comments please.

Hi

There is a problem with indicator alerts in in general, our developers are looking into it and we hope to have it resolved as soon as possible. The problem is not specific to the new platform, the back end software used for alerts is the same whether you set the alert from the new platform or the old platform.

I am sorry that you are receiving delayed alerts, the investigation is treated as a priority and once resolved you will be able to receive immediate alerts on any of the platforms.

Thanks

Anton

Hi

I've just been keeping an eye on the alert delays over the last few days and have found that the delay period appears to be longer during the US market opening hours than the European. Last night (my time) the delay was 5-6 mins and right now is pretty much instant.

Just thought you might like to know

    • Analysts have noted a historical correlation between crypto prices and the stock market, particularly in relation to interest rate decisions. Post FOMC decision witness Bitcoin’s price showed little change drop to about 0.17% on the day while other crypto like the Bitget BGB recorded a mild gain. Crypto market analyst TXMC has warned of a potential recession in 2024 due to tight credit conditions, which could influence both stock and Bitcoin prices.
    • If that's the case, then I believe the next step is for the dev team to create an in-app EVM wallet that can process payment natively for PayPal users who wishes to use the stablecoin for transaction on the platform
    • Reading through the news earlier on X.com, I really do not fault the reason behind their decision because of the risk of scam and fraud but on the other hand I felt what they should have done was to tighten their KYC policy and use a more secured main chain for transactions. Anyways JP Morgan has always been an anti-crypto for a very long time so I never expect anything different. I just hope UK residents who are crypto enthusiasts realize there are several ways you can transact your crypto and fiat without Chase Bank and one of them is to use a P2P exchange like kucoin and Bitget
