Stoplosses; and New Regulations ?

Guest gbj999

Question

Guest gbj999

Are they going to  insist on Stoplosses in the new ESMA rules ??

That would be a serious disaster for those of us who manage (quite well) without them.

They really gobble up the gains.

Just leverage rules really. Search “ESMA” on here and there are some posts about exactly what’s going to happen.

 - please see the proposal as below. Nothing at this stage which indicates a requirement to have a stop, although there are some specific requirements based on the 'Limited Risk' account type which IG have which may require a guaranteed stop on all positions.
