Stocks and Shares ISA - Which Global Shares?

Question

Hello,

I'm considering opening a 2018-2019 Stocks and Shares ISA with IG. I'd like to be able to use it to invest in global shares (preferably the US) but I can't find a list of what's available. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Regards

Shez

I have another question on this and would be grateful for any help.

I currently have a share dealing account open with IG. Would I be able to transfer my stocks from that account into the ISA account?

Or would I have to sell the shares in that account and then transfer the cash?

Kind Regards

Shez

Hey - you would need to do what is known as a Bed and ISA which is the process of selling stock in the share account and buying immediately in the ISA. We can do this for you over the phone, however there is a cost with that. Please give us a call and someone will be able to help.
