OFFICIAL FTSE OHLC prices

Can anyone tell me please why FTSE high yesterday was officially recorded as 5308.95 when the prices was high as 5338  just after 8am open?

hi, what does 'officially' mean? if you mean the exchange price you aren't actually trading on the exchange.

Hi - I am referring to the end of day prices on the FTSE 100 index cash market price i.e between 8am and 4:30(plus auction period) - they are normally in sync during this time give or take a pip but differences of this size. Its not the first time its happended in last few weeks

any suggestions much appreciated
